Kid's Ministry

Jesus and Me! (J.A.M.)
It is often said, kids are the church of tomorrow. While that’s certainly true, here at Oak Hills, we believe kids are also a vital part of the church of today. It’s for this reason we like kids to be involved in our worship experience each week. Every Sunday, your kids will begin in worship with our adults. This teaches kids they are a vital part of the congregation and helps to prepare them for when they will be in worship later in life. We do, however, have a flag ministry, that the kids are welcome to be involved in during the time of singing. After that kids will move to Jesus and Me, where they will learn about Jesus in a fun, engaging, and age appropriate way. A typical experience consists of a Bible story, activities, crafts, and games. All kids ages 3 – grade 5 are welcome. A nursery is available for kids ages 2 and under.
Puppet Ministry
Twice a month during the worship service (on the second and fourth Sundays) a Bible story puppet show is performed. In seeing these Bible stories come to life, children remember and are able to apply biblical truths to their lives. Youth (6th grade and older) and adult thespians serve as the puppeteers. If you would like to be a puppeteer and can perform once or twice a month let us know!

Kid's Sunday School
A Sunday School class for kids ages 3 – grade 5 is available on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. During this time, kids learn about Jesus in a fun, engaging, and age appropriate way. A typical experience consists of a Bible story, activities, crafts, and games.
Vacation Bible School 2025
Come one! Come all! Step right up and see the marvelous wonders waiting for you at the carnival! Carnivals are more than a place for entertainment. They’re an invitation to see something extraordinary. The best part? Everyone is invited. In this year’s VBS, kids can accept this invite from Jesus’ himself–to be a part of something wonderful. We’ll discover how Jesus invites us to use the gifts God gave us (Luke 5:1-11; 1 Peter 4:10-11), show God’s love to someone new (Luke 5:27-32; Romans 12:9-13), thank God for forgiveness (John 8:1-11; 1 John 1:5-10), and share God’s story with everyone (John 20:1-18; Psalm 9:1-2). And we’ll culminate the week with a carnival for kids and their families on Friday night. Vacation Bible School 2025 will be held the week of June 16-20 from 6:30-8 p.m. Age 3 through 6th grade completed in 2025. Register here.
